I am soooooo pleased by the story selections of this Bible storybook!!! There are 55 stories told in the first-person voice of various Bible people, and of course this book hits the major characters of the Bible -- Noah, David, Moses, Daniel, Jonah, Jesus, etc. But it also covers characters I've always felt have been missing from other storybooks, yet are significant parts of God's gospel story -- Jacob, Caleb, Rahab, Hannah, Abigail, Elijah and Elisha, Solomon, Nehemiah, Jeremiah, Nicodemus, the Pharisees, the Early Christians, Silas, Aquila and Priscilla, and many, many more.At the end of each character's story, there's a small reflection on the story that does an AWESOME job of connecting the Bible character's experience to the kid reading the book. I have a 4.5-year-old who's eager to learn more about God, and this storybook is right at his wavelength.Oh yeah, the pictures are gorgeous too, in a "modern" and emotive style that kids who watch computer animated videos are going to be familiar with. Quality is great, too, with thick paper and a binding that lets you almost lay the open book flat.We've only read a few stories so far, but I can't wait to read through all 55 of them -- over and over and over again.

I was appalled upon opening this book. Eve looks like a runway model.Saturated in makeup, doll eyes, itty bitty waist and big boobs. Our world exploits our girls enough why would they do this in a children's book. I was so saddened bc the content is great but I don't want my daughter thinking this is how Christian girls look. I was so uncomfortable reading this bc of the graphics. I might be returning I'm not sure I'm still reading my way through it. The message is awesome.

This book is amazing! It’s written in a way that my kids can relate, understand what’s happening, and why. They love to answer the questions at the end of each chapter. Kids are 8 and 6.

I absolutely LOVE this Bible! Teaches kids all about God's love for them from the point of view of the person that the story is about. It's such an interesting take on the Bible and it stays true to the Word!

We absolutely love love the story book. The pictures are beautiful the stories are great. My daughter asked almost every night for her bedtime story to be out of this book. What a great way to introduce Bible stories in a fun way to kids. At the end of each story there was a perfect little paragraph that helps kids relate the story to their own lives and ask them questions. I love this part, it's great for starting a conversation and going deeper. So grateful for this book

I love this book for my daughter! I’ve had different Bibles for her (she’s 5) that were in kid format, but they had actual verses as well. There’s definitely a place for that version! However, she is so interested in this one due to the story format! The other versions have been tough to get her motivated to sit and listen. This one, she wants to keep going with the stories! It’s so fun to see her interest and watch her answer the questions at the end of each story.I’ve read some reviews complaining about the nature of the illustrations and that they are too sexualized. This doesn’t bother me. Yes, some of the men are handsome, and some of the women are beautiful. Adults and children both like pretty things. It’s the way it is. If you think this may bother you, you should purchase a different Bible story book.Overall, I’m loving the book and seeing her excitement!

This Bible is really a great addition to our Sunday School classroom! It is the only Bible that puts our children in place with the people of the Bible. With this Bible the kids are friends with the people they are learning about, so important in developing that all important relationship with God! The illustrations are awesome, some of the most engaging I've seen, but for the kids to feel like the Noah, Moses, Miriam, and Esther are talking to them about their life is what hooks the kids! So excited to use this again and again.

A really good book to learn about the people in the Bible. The people are actually talking to you. I got it for my religion class and it makes it fun. It has people you didn't even know about. I love it!
