Agree with the other reviewer who noted the problem with the kindle version - no page numbers, just "locations" that do not correspond to a page number and which change as you change font sizes. This makes it impossible to create a citation. Not sure if this is something determined by the publisher, or by Amazon, but if all Kindle textbooks are going this way I won't be renting any more kindle versions. Something else to keep in mind, since there were no 'page' numbers, the Index had no identifiers either, nor was there any functionality that allowed you to use the (useless) Index items as a link to go to where the content was. Very frustrating.

Initially no one likes nursing research. It can be difficult one getting into literature reviews and annotated bibliographies which I had never done before. I felt this text easily broke done the concepts and requirements. I did very well with this book. It also provided example research papers for example reviews of a qualitative and quantitative review which also assisted the process. I regretted selling it back and should have kept it for further schooling.

It was classified as in "good" condition but it is definitely in below average condition. Lots of water damage and crumpled corners and looks overall VERY used. It'll get the job done but it's just kind of annoying that the actual condition was below than what was promised.

I received the book right away, and the process for returning the book doesn't look complicated at all. Hopefully, there will be other books available for rental that I will be needing, but not necessarily wanting to keep during the remainder of my nursing school. Since we don't have a bookstore at my college, it's hard to find buyers to resell to sometimes, so this way I don't have to put out so much money on books that I know I won't want to keep.

I would never purchase this for leisure; required textbook. Overall, easy to navigate and the index is awesome in helping direct you! If you use this book for a class, USE THE ONLINE COMPANION!!! It helped a TON!!

Hi there.I ordered this book because it was cheaper than some other options. However, the cover does not look the same as the one pictured in the ad. This is false advertising. Nonetheless, the content so far seems the same. I just won't be able to sell it back to the bookstore I normally resell my books to because they do not take international editions.Guess I should have gotten the clue from the company's name: InternationalBooks, but I still believe that they should have put the true pic of what the book looks like which is a lot different. Other places that sell international books do. That is why I did not buy the book from them, because the international version is not what I wanted. Let's be honest, the picture is typically what amazon buyers look at anyways when they purchase items...not the fine print!

A great buy! I saved a lot by buying this and not the purple 8th edition. Same book exactly! Just brown cover instead of purple and the inside regular black and white book papers. The extra colors as in the purple I found confusing. Easier to use markers with this type of book.

Those of us of a certain age can all too easily remember when there were virtually no books that affirmed or even recognized our daily lives, except to cast us as serial killers and psychos. Perhaps for that reason, we may not always hold current writers to a sufficiently high standard. That said, Ms. Hill has always delivered a quality novel. Devil's Rock is, however, is much better than good. It represents a significant step forward in her work and is an outstanding, quality work of fiction. Devil's Rock is a good story, well told. The characters -- all of the characters -- are thoroughly rendered and allowed to resolve themselves in a way that is true to their nature, not just a formula predicated by a genre. The main characters are complex and compelling. Their attraction draws the reader in. The love scenes are sensual and lyrical. If you're looking for a good novel, I highly recommend Devil's Rock. If you're one of Gerri Hill's regular readers, your loyalty will be richly rewarded. If you're a brand new reader, you're in for a treat.

This is the 4th time I've read this book and by far it is still in my top 5. It so engaging, exciting , sexy, and hold your breath on the edge, kinda story. I love the crossover characters as they all blend well. The characters are well developed, just as the story plot got to where I thought I knew how It was gonna end, It shifted leaving me surprised.This along with all Gerri Hills books are a must own and read multiple times.

A good read, thoroughly enjoyed this book, couldn't put it down.... that said it takes U-Hauling to a whole other level .... loved the story, the ending freaked me out a bit.. could just be my own commitment issues.. and please wash your hands after patting a pet before you eat your pizza... such a deal breaker ... lesbians can be a tad unhygienic when it comes to their pets and food...Anyway, good story... couple of spelling mistakes.. sack your editor Gerri, this happens too often in your kindle editions...highly recommend Devil's Rock...and the word suckling didn't come up once.. praise the Goddess...

Being a fan of Gerri Hill novels, I have found that most of her books fall into two categories: "fantastic" and "eh." This one is the latter. I always appreciate Ms. Hill's ability to develop characters that capture my attention with their witty banter and I especially like the crime mysteries. A few of her books have been outstanding reads that I have revisited many times such as Hunter's Way, The Killing Room, Target, and Dawn of Change, to name a few.Devil's Rock feels forced. I was excited to learn that Tori Hunter would be making an appearance as she is one of my favorite characters from this genre, but unfortunately it couldn't save this far fetched story line with plot holes I could drive a truck through. It was an entertaining, quick read, but I had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately, I was disappointed.

* No Synopsis*I am a big Gerri Hill fan. I love her ability to move between strictly romance and crime genres. Unfortunately, I found this offering to be somewhat mediocre.Basically, everything just felt too easy. The main charachters open up to eachother too quickly, their emotional scars are too similar and their attraction to eachother goes from 0 to 60 way too fast to seem genuine. The plot line comes across as confusing, but it also gets resolved too easily. The main charachters literaly stumble upon the perpetrator.Of course, Hill's writing is top notch, but I just expected more. Her "Target", "The Killing Room", and "The Scorpion" are so good that "Devil's Rock" left me unsatisfied.

we all have something in our pasts that haunt us. both Andrea and Cameron have those. they are brought together by the same serial killer in 'Partners'. To me, though very interesting, the mystery of how to catch the madman is secondary. It seems from the very beginning, Cameron has Andrea's number. what she doesn't know is that Andrea has her. it's great to watch as both of them break down walls and become exactly what the other needs. but what happens when FBI agent Cameron's temporary assignment ends and Deputy Andrea is forced to stay behind? will their connection be enough? or will they go their separate ways. great romance!

I like the cross over between these characters and the Hunter series characters. However, the relationship seemed rush between the characters in this novel and just too out of character for me. Story line was interesting enough to keep my attention, and the setting was beautiful yet disturbing due to all of the bodies being dumped.

I absolutely loved this book. It began me on a series that I am still enjoying. While I have enjoyed them all this first book is still one of my favorites because the character of Eidolon is so incredibly perfect. Smart, sexy and loves his brothers - how can you not love this book? It begins a world of Underworld General Hospital and each book connects the characters. I love how old characters continue to return in later books. It is just so much fun. I hope she keeps writing in this world because I am hooked!

A very interesting world within the world tale this author has woven. As with most series, it takes a little to understand what makes up this world and the characters within it. But once the reader begins to comprehend this demon world within the human world and delves into the character make ups and conflict, you can't help but become immersed in the storyline. Eidolon had me from the start. Tayla....she had to grow on me. There are so many intriguing beings running around the hospital that it is easy to see many storyline spring boarding from this. Nice start

Liked it better first time. Granted, I've read it, not listened, like this time, and it was . I can't put a finger on what went south this time but I don't think audio version is the only reason. Demonica series were the highest bar for me. Almost nothing compared. At least in paranormal genre. This time around I was a bit disappointed. In characters, chemistry, overall storyline. It just wasn't a thrill and fun ride as I remember and I couldn't immers myself in this imaginary world completely. As I have a feeling I may be a bit harsh on this book and this review could be influenced by my life situation, I will certainly read/listen book two and revise this review accordingly. This is book one after all and life happens. Regardless of my general feeling/opinion for this book, Demonica world is one of the best one I enjoyed and it deserves a place on everyone's book shelf. That said, immersion try 2 will commence immediately.

In the face of so many glowing reviews, I guess I expected to be blown away by this book, but really? I wasn't. Not that I didn't like it, because I did, but it didn't have an "OMG, WOW!" factor for me that it seems to have had for others. Maybe it's because I mostly had to read it in short snippets over several days, I dunno, but nothing here really left my jaw hanging or anything.One thing that keeps me from being totally wow'd by this book is the heroine, Tayla. For the most part, I didn't really like her. She's supposed to be a badass demon slayer, and she is, at least in terms of fighting ability and talent, but her attitude seems kind of off, especially since she's also supposed to be a loyal soldier of the Aegis. It's clear almost from the start though that she has some attitude problems, and isn't necessarily as loyal as she pretends to be. She withholds information from them about her "condition", which she has no idea what's wrong with her, just that she has something going on that causes "seizures" that debilitate her suddenly and with little or no warning. Clearly this is something her superiors should know about if they're sending her out in the field, but she keeps quiet, because she doesn't trust them to not find a way to eliminate her and thus eliminate a liability if they find out. Actually, trust issues are her main attitude problem all around, and her defense mechanisms cause her to be more than a little arrogant, full of bravado, and downright rude for little or no reason many times. She's also not above smacking the hand that feeds her, as witnessed by her treatment of Eidolon as well as her mistrust of the Aegis members she works with. Though she does have some legitimate reasons for being mistrustful of others, she takes it to ridiculous lengths, refusing to give some people a chance even when they've been nothing but kind and helpful toward her just because of who or what they are.In contrast to the hard-to-like heroine, Eidolon is a truly likeable hero. For all that he's a demon, is on the verge of a transformation that will likely turn him into a true monster, he's really a gentle and kind soul that just happened to be born on the wrong side of the good/evil line. We see this right from the beginning when Tayla is brought into his hospital. He has every reason to turn her away because of what she is, but he doesn't, and he even protects her from his brothers and others who want to torture her for information on the Aegis and then kill her. He's not a total or true pacifist though, for even he is apt to fly into a murderous rage under the right circumstances, and we also see examples here and there of how his morals can be pretty flexible on some issues, including being largely indifferent to some things that most (on the good side anyway) would be repulsed or at least offended by. Mostly though he's able to keep a cool head through any crisis or turmoil, and this, combined with his extensive patience and tolerance where Tayla and her actions are concerned, is a lot of what makes the book work and makes it an enjoyable read.Given the nature of the seminus demons, I don't think you can really review this book (or likely any in the series) without touching on the sex, and I have to admit that most of it is pretty hot. Ione does a great job at building and portraying sexual tension not just as a lead up to sex, but also during the numerous times when Tayla and Eidolon are seriously lusting after one another but refusing to give into the urges. The sex isn't really what took center stage here though, for the rich descriptions, tangible emotions, and intricately layered plot are what really captured my interest. I particularly liked how the author kept the focus on the immediate problems the characters were trying to overcome and solve, but then once they had, gave us just a few glimpses at how what they were dealing with was truly just the surface of a much deeper plot, one that shows signs of perhaps being aimed against demons and Aegis alike. Some authors would have been hinting at the deeper layers all along, which likely would have just distracted from the immediate problems that needed to be solved, and so I liked that Ione didn't overwhelm us with too much depth all at once, but rather let us chew our way through the crust before letting us get a glimpse of how much more lay beyond what had been dealt with.Fans of paranormal romance, especially those with a good bit of steam, will enjoy this book I'm sure. There's a little something for everyone with the inclusion of demons of many varieties, vampires, shifters, and possibly a few things we haven't encountered yet. This is one I'd definitely recommend, and I'll be looking forward to continuing the series.

The sex positions that are illustrated here are nothing erotic or crude. If you read through those descriptions, it is clearly written how and why this particularly positions makes you enjoy sex. If you are buying this book just to get some new sex positions...or tips on sex - THEN THIS IS NOT THE BOOK FOR YOU. I've heard of kama sutra before, and at that time I thought it was a book of crude sex positions and nothing else, but now I know I am wrong.I feel so strongly about this because the message here really sank into me. I would suggest this as an ideal book for anyone going through a troubled relationship.There was a second book on dirty talking, but I had my mind mostly on kama sutra.

The illustrations were clear and the descriptions were brief but captured the essential things to say about each position. If you're looking for ways on how to up your sex life or make your love-making with your partner a little more interesting, then this book would be quite handy. The second book was also a good addition and will give you ways on how to be "sexier" in the bedroom.
