I believe that this book is one of the best historical books I have ever read. It humanizes Cochise, while making you understand him and respect his actions. Cochise was one of the greatest Native American leaders of all time and this book does him justice. It is well researched and well written. Some history books can be boring, but not this one. I highly recommend it to anybody interested in American history.

Everything that Edwin R Sweeney writes, including "Cochise", is based on very extensive research and sound rationalization where the facts are a little foggy. If you are a romanticist, this book may bore you, but if you want to know how thing "really went down" get it!
