What does a rich business man and a struggling college student have incommon. You would think nothing at all but Opposition by Jane Henryproved me wrong.Ms Henry has woven her magic once again with twopeople from vastly different worlds who are both damaged in some way.Liam Alexander is the most arrogant man Cora has ever met. From themoment he steps into the coffee shop where she works her life changesforever.Cora has the weight of the world on her young shoulders and thelast thing she needs is a rude jerk to deal with. She thought that she hadseen the last of him but fate intervened when she found herself acrossthe knees of a masked stranger at the masquerade night at Club Verge.Herfirst forage into the club did not turn out as she expected. All she wantedwas to feel and have a little fun.Unfortunately for Cora, she runs out ofthe frying pan and into the fire and is rescued by Liam.Liam offers Coraa proposition she just can't refuse. Is he the devil or a angel. Were theyheaded for disaster.I loved Cara feisty spirit and dedication. The ice around her heart slowlymelted as Liam's kindness emerged. She grew to love his control anddominance, she gifted him with her submission.I loved how Liam remainedin charge but still encouraged Cora follow her convictions. This book will take your breath away and set you on fire. Its well balancedand flows smoothly with believable characters that you can't help fallingin love with. This book resonated within me and Ms Henry created a worldin which I was able to immerse myself and live out my own fantasies fora few short hours.

Liam and Cora are like fire and gasoline and I love it. She tells him like it is and ticks Liam off. He in turn takes no grief and gives Cora what she needs. The heat between them is great and gets you wishing you were Cora.

This the newest book in the Club Verge books, involving the best sex club in Manhattan. I've loved every one of these books, and am always excited to see what Jane Henry is going to do next. I almost always love her heroes and heroines, even when the Domly types are being uber-Domly. However, I can't really say that about Liam.Cora is a college student who works 2 jobs and goes to college. And oh yeah, she's also guardian to her two younger siblings. She never has a second to herself and she just can't get ahead. If it's not one thing, it's another. And today, it's the jerkweed who was all condescending and rude to her and the stuff that the book store sells. Which includes erotic stories written by two of her friends. However, she manages to dust herself off so that she can go to work at her second job, bartender at Club Verge.Liam hates poor service, and so when he stopped to get a cup of coffee and found the woman at the store on the phone to her boyfriend, he was nasty to her. You see, Liam is uber rich and a Dom, and no one treats him with disrespect or says no to him. He felt that Cora, the woman behind the bar, was disrespectful. So when he sees her behind the bar at Verge, and is able to hide his identity from her because it was a Masquerade, he just wants to get to know her better.I spent a lot of time in this book not really liking Liam a lot. He's really cold and calculating, and just a serious jerk. I really don't like the way that he treats people in general, nor the way that he treats service staff. I do eventually come to like him, but he's definitely not my favorite of Jane Henry's guys. All that being said, I do think that he's fairly good for Cora. He gives her a place where she can lay down her worries and burdens and just let someone else handle everything. For someone who has had to be so in control, like Cora, that has to be a relief.I really like Cora. I admire her grit and determination. She also is going to fight for what she believes, no matter what. I truly respect her for stepping up and taking care of her sibs. There was only one thing that I was curious about that didn't get answered, and that's Bailey's teacher who seemed to know something that he shouldn't, and was trying to lecture Cora. I might've liked to see something more from that.

Opposition is a combination Cinderella/Beauty and the Beast tale with likable characters, a straightforward plot, and steamy sex scenes.Cora is a college student working two jobs to keep her family together. She lives in the worst part of New York City, in a rundown apartment with her sister and her brother. She successfully fought to keep custody of her siblings after her mother died of an overdose and lives as frugally as possible.Enter CEO Liam, a big impatient man, who snaps at her while she’s at work in the coffee shop. She gives him what for but is pleased when he leaves her a big tip. But she sure doesn’t want anything more to do with him. Too bad, because while she’s working as a bartender at the BDSM Club Verge, he shows up again. After some interplay, where he saves her life, he offers an opportunity: for a substantial amount of money, she agrees to be his submissive for eight weeks. At first she refuses, but when she realizes the rent is overdue, she agrees to his proposal. The contract includes a clause that neither one of them will fall in love. But six weeks into the contract, a fire leaves Cora’s family homeless and they move in with Liam. By then, both are feeling a strong attraction toward the other-but that damn clause stands in the way.Can these two mismatched workaholics find a way around the written contract to develop a real relationship?I liked both the main characters-both were honest, hardworking people, and most of the secondary characters were enjoyable as well. I could only picture Jake the lawyers as a clone of the lawyer in Pretty Woman-and the two were alike in more than looks.Overall an enjoyable light read, that can keep the reader thoroughly entertained.
